I bet no i of yous would take put your coin in for this serial success, when the first volume came out.
Yeah, no one.
The story does non get stagnated. The puns are still amusing, if not novel. The book lets your inner kid'south troll treasure out and you get hooked. For some it is a guilty pleasure to go through the misdeeds of Greg.

This is a case well handled past Jeff. Although the jokes are not as hilarious as they were, the soul remains. The setting is the aforementioned. Greg still goes to the school and is struck in the onset of teenage where he's non yet into girls, crushes and stuff. The innocent side persists. It will be immensely interesting to see how many books these phases can continue. This eleventh book might just be the threshold.
Plot wallYes, the wall. Brick after brick - is chiseled in the trademark way of Jeff.
The french horn is the new trouble in town and is self vouched for by Greg!
Perchance, we GR librarians should even make a Goodreads I.G. Chilling author page for the fictional horror author mentioned in the story.
EventsRight from the piano lessons to french horn to embarrassing situations with Rowley to the reference to Truman'south show - the stage is held together with a fabric that is funny to the senses.
Verdict : We are in for a major alter in the life of Greg if there're further additions to this serial.
4-We-expect-more-stars.

The first entry in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series came out in 2007, when I was almost twelve years sometime — meaning I was a part of the target audience. I'll never forget buying that ane at my schoolhouse'due south volume fair, taking it dwelling house, and laughing aloud at the antics of Greg Heffley, his family unit, and his best friend Rowley. I'd never read annihilation like information technology!Skip to the nowadays day. I am now almost twenty-one, and I nevertheless buy these books on release day. Sure, I've grown out of them . . . They are a guilty pleasure of mine, nothing more or less. And they all the same make me laugh (though not quite equally oftentimes these days, I am pitiful to say).
Similar every other volume in the Wimpy Kid series, the pace in this book is corybantic and the characters are engaging, amusing, and endlessly relatable. The sense of humor felt a bit more stale here than in Kinney'due south other releases, and this story suffers a lot from lack of an overarching theme, simply it's okay. They can't all be winners.
The Wimpy Child books are certainly written with simple and centre schoolers in listen, but I still enjoy them. Is that my nostalgia talking? Possibly. Probably. Ah, well. I spent seven bucks and change on this, and I don't regret it. It was nice to be taken away to Greg Heffley's globe once more. These books are perfect for young readers, or adults willing to cover their kittenish side for a few hours. I didn't honey this one, just I certainly liked it.

But I loved it 👍
I love how Greg is still being Greg, growing upward just like i of u.s. believing all the silly lies that adults tell and trusting his older blood brother, Rodrick, in all the silliest, stupidest stuffs that he keeps telling Greg (yep nosotros all have been there! Snicker!).
There's is the most outrageous pet, the Pig, which the family adopted him since the concluding volume ( are these consi Well, this was and so much fun to read...though information technology took me the longest to read of all the books in the series so far!

At that place's is the most outrageous pet, the Pig, which the family adopted him since the concluding book ( are these considered spoilers?! Em...ok, this review has got spoilers then🤐) which is the added woe for Greg in this i👍
The mom goes crazier (meant to say ameliorate for all the adults who are reading this series like me...but for kids, y'all know what I mean👍), the dad gets more than strict, the school keeps getting harder, Rowley (his unassuming 'bestie' friend) gets more popular (of class, with the unexpected help from yous-know-who!).
The scenes are getting pretty hilarious. The doodles/sketches the same all the same with more than impact 👍
Damn, then there's the affair about Greg and Rowley shooting their outset home made video.
Well, things went crazy after that in the second part. So worth the read👍 Snicker! Snort laughs!
*The holiday season theme in this one was the Halloween.
So you get the thought😉
That plastic abrasive blasting witch though!😁😂😁
Well...this review is then out of order!
Greg furnishings!
I terribly missed Manny in this i.
Promise to see more of him in the next 2 books! ...more

Greg suspects that may be he'due south an histrion in a movie or may be his parents are robots. He's trying to work it all out. His mum is trying to go Rodrick serious about going to higher only Rodrick doesn't want to. And then his mum tries to convince him to think about going to college in future. She takes him to her college campus for him to look around and he thinks that information technology's absurd until information technology becomes overbearing.Halloween is effectually the corner and he joins a band at school to get invited to a party. His mum takes over the party but surprisingly Greg, Rowley and the girls cease up having a good time. He wants to quit the band after the party simply his dad tells him that it's not an option. But what ends up happening is rather a hilarious turn of events.
This serial always makes me laugh. I can always relate to something or the other from my school days. It does start out a footling tedious but picks upwards when Greg joins the band.

Jeff Kinney has achieved that rare feat of writing a children's serial which is enjoyed equally by adults.

I picked up this book in Oxford bookstore months dorsum. I wanted to terminate it then and in that location simply I had to surrender halfway. Thankfully I got the book yesterday and I finished it 😁.
The introduction to Greg's diary begins with a bit of humour and wild imagination (which I had many when I was kid).

Rowley the clueless and naive friend brought few laughs every bit well.
I rated this three/v because this book wasn't equally funny as the previous installments. There are many books in the series that have fabricated me sputter and given people around me a scare because of my sudden outburst of laughter. Simply this book failed to bring that consequence. All in all a so and and so event in the diary of a wimpy kid.

I feel like Jeff Kinney should have stopped the series at 10. 11 is too much, and, to be honest, I didn't really relish the volume that much. I feel like there wasn't even a plot-merely a bunch of random scenes and a rushed ending. Too, the description on the back is not accurate. It says that the book is about Greg and Rowley making a movie together, but that doesn't happen until the very cease.Although this volume wasn't my favorite, I must admit it was a fun read. I did enjoy the pictures and the volume made me express joy out loud quite a few times. Hopefully Kinney keeps his humour in his next book, but creates a stronger and more interesting plot.

Actually, that'south just silly: I hope Greg never learns! Because if Greg learned (how to talk to girls, what his parents really meant, how to be a good friend), there would be an end to this series. The fun is watching a child who is boilerplate at best, and honestly pretty clueless and selfish, muddle his way around. Last night I took my nigh twelve-year-one-time son to see Jeff Kinney talk, and nosotros both loved it. Kinney is funny, and talented, and comes off as a kind and genu

Last dark I took my nearly twelve-year-sometime son to see Jeff Kinney talk, and we both loved it. Kinney is funny, and talented, and comes off equally a kind and genuine guy. He talked about his procedure, but also why he loved comics, and how he was never going to have Greg age, considering like Bart Simpson, it's better if he's perpetually the same historic period. And I agree!

I rated this book 4 stars because it was really skilful but really short, I hateful, I read it all in one twenty-four hours!!! I can't await until side by side year when a new one comes out.
This book is virtually a kid who only tin't do anything correct. He gets bad grades at school, plays video games all day, joins a band jut to become invited to a party, etc. After he gets grounded, he and his friend try to make a picture show, but every thing goes incorrect.
I rated this book 4 stars because it was really proficient but really curt, I mean, I read it all in one day!!! I can't wait until side by side year when a new one comes out.

Somehow, though, information technology all seems to work. These books are hilarious and keep getting better and better. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Double Downwards is the latest and greatest from Jeff Kinney. Get it, read it, and express joy your head off. It's amazing!

Written and illustrated by Jeffery Kinney, Diary of a Wimpy Kid 11: Double Dow
Halloween is coming, and Greg Heffley is up to his normal antics. While Greg's mother decides to ameliorate herself with classes, she pushes Greg to think about his time to come. Greg has new "interests" whether he likes information technology or not. Be information technology the French horn he's been forced to play or reading I.M. Spooky'southward series of kids horror books, Greg'south getting ideas on how he tin can go rich quick and capitalize on the popularity of scaring kids.Written and illustrated past Jeffery Kinney, Diary of a Wimpy Kid 11: Double Downwardly was released on Nov 1, 2016. The book follows Diary of a Wimpy Kid ten: Old School and was met with loftier pre-sales like previous books in the series.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid books are pretty formulaic at this point. The question is if the formula works or if the volume fails. While some of the stories just don't seem to build enough, others go overboard and take it besides far. Diary of a Wimpy Kid 11: Double Down does find a decent balance that keeps the book entertaining.
There is a lot of fun stuff in the books and how the books work is that Greg's antics terminate up piling up and exploding. Hither, Greg'due south dear of horror (something I had), Halloween, candy, and desire to brand a cadet explode…and in typical Diary of a Wimpy Kid fashion, Greg comes out on the losing end while his friend Rowley Jefferson wins.
The volume does actually touch on things you think almost as a kid, merely Kinney occasionally wanders. At that place are events like the cryogenic freezing and The Truman Evidence references that are so tangential to the plot that y'all tin can tell Kinney merely wants to put it in the story but doesn't necessary know how to place it in there…while information technology is funny, it kind of makes the books more fragmented than they need to be.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid eleven: Double Downwardly is a fun read for fans of the series and the series goes on. It isn't actually limping along, but information technology as well isn't inspiring to anything new. Babyhood has an endless to it and then Diary of a Wimpy Kid could go on and on for decades, just information technology runs into the problem in that it roots itself in Greg getting older…which never happens. I enjoy some of the vacation aspects of Wimpy Child books and Kinney might want to do some focusing on that since babyhood seems to revolve around the holidays. Of grade if nosotros get a Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Arbor Day, Kinney might have pushed it too far (ok, Charlie Brown had an Arbor Twenty-four hours episode).

Whether information technology's believing he's the subject area of a reality Telly show like The Truman Bear witness or joining the school band to become invited to a big Halloween fustigate, Greg Hefley'southward trials and tribulations never stop. That'southward good news to this reader, who despite being too old to be in the targeted demographic for the Wimpy Child novels continues to enjoy them.Listening to the audio version of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Double Downward, I chuckled and laughed out loud multiple times as Greg continues to grow up. Whether's it's conspiring to win a jar full of candy in his schoolhouse's annual airship launch or using the Net to convince his parents that he'south actually learning to play the French Horn, Greg'due south antics never failed to charm. And despite not having the benefit of the drawing illustration in the printed version, I found the novel and its narration creating some hilarious moments in my caput as I traveled to and from work.
I also discovered that I've missed a couple of releases in the series and any now eager to go back and catch up on what I've missed.
